Enabling home ownership outside Auckland
A $2m impact investment in YouOwn by Tauranga’s BayTrust will enable 20 local families to buy their first home over the next two years. The YouOwn co-ownership fund substantially reduces the size of deposit that people need to save for a home loan. After five years, families can buy out YouOwn’s share to own the property outright. This regional partnership is a first for the fund, enabling YouOwn to tackle the issue of housing affordability outside its Auckland base.
